Sports Injuries

Dr. Dan Farah working with Sports InjuriesI have always had an interest in sports and athletic participation. Growing up just blocks from Lambeau Field provided a natural interest in football and the Green Bay Packers. Realizing I was too small for football and too short for basketball didn’t diminish my enthusiasm for sports. After attempting football and basketball, I progressed to waterskiing, volleyball, swimming, and soccer.

I took up soccer and in two years of high school, made all conference as a defender. I walked on and made the Marquette University Soccer team. By the age of 18, I was an accomplished barefoot water-skier and was recruited to ski professionally at the Tommy Bartlett Waterski Shows in Wisconsin Dells.

It was through this evolutionary process I decided to pursue post-graduate training to sports chiropractic. I completed a 300- hour program in which I became a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician and Diplomate Eligible with the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians.

Here are my professional accomplishments as a member of Sports Injury and Prevention Staff:

1990 to present

    • : Coordinator of Chiropractic Service: Wisconsin State Waterski Show Championships.

1990-2005

    • : National Waterski Show Tournament: Chiropractic Coordinator

1993

    • : National Tae Kwon Do Championships on-site treatment staff

1993-2005

    • : Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association Team Doctor- WI Division

2014

: USA Curling Championship: Chiropractic Coordinator

I have also had the privilege to work on professional and word class athletes throughout my career, including several NFL players who are already or very likely will be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. I have also worked on Olympic-level athletes competing in Martial Arts and Curling. I have extensive experience working on college, high school and juvenile athletes of all levels.

Since over 80% of all athletic injuries are sprain/strain varieties, Doctors of Chiropractic with specialized training are best suited to care for these individuals. Joint and muscular rehabilitation are part of everyday practice. Having competed in high-level athletics myself, I have an in-depth understanding of the injury process and the necessary requirements to complete successful rehabilitation. I have treated injuries of every joint in the body, and I have seen most injuries. I can guide you from injury diagnosis through return to competition. We also have great working relationships with all local hospitals for advanced diagnostic imaging, lab testing, and orthopedic or medical referrals when necessary.
